Products based on existing platforms
It is possible to create designs that are based on existing products but target different display types or have some other customized features. This can save time and development effort. The display controller platforms are very flexible and can also work with less common display technologies for which there might not be good support in typical display controllers. It is also possible to take existing designs and add custom features and functionality on the same PCB.

Also possible are completely new designs based on customer needs. Alternatively if you think you could use some help in just a certain area of your development like for example firmware or hardware development that is possible too.
Designs using FPGA
Designs that have used FPGA's in them may have used a smaller FPGA just to perform some specific functionality in the circuit for which custom logic implementation provides the flexibility and performance needed and then typically complemented with external processor. Then some designs that have been worked with have used larger FPGA to have multiple 32-bit processors and DDR2 interfaces implemented in the FPGA as well as all the various application specific cores and functionality.
Prototypes and small quantity production
It is possible to develop prototypes and manufacture even just a few pieces to help in evaluating the project in early phases. Smaller quantities of circuit boards can be assembled in-house for additional flexibility and time savings.
